The fictitious school has a website that offers a full catalog of “Ministry Approved” online courses for aspiring wizards and witches. The site (www.hogwartsishere.com) looks very professional and takes the courses seriously, including homework, essays, quizzes and tests. Tornadoes, wind, hail and thunderstorms ravished the middle of the United States yesterday and weather forecasters are predicting two or three more days of bad storms. A massive tornado touched down 10 miles east of Little Rock, Arkansas and caused wide-spread damage to numerous towns. The small Oklahoma City of Quapaw had numerous buildings damaged and the storms have killed at least 16 people. The outlook today calls for more intense storms.
The top movies last week were: The Other Woman with $24.7-million, Captain America: The Winter Soldier $16-million, Heaven Is For Real $13.8-million and Rio 2 with $13.7-million in ticket sales.
A study done by the University of Colorado ranks Chicago as America’s funniest city. The Windy City was followed by Boston and Atlanta. The researchers hailed Chicagoans for their witty banter and humor. They said jokes about the weather, the transit system and the Cubs highlight the foibles and frustrations of living in Chicago.
