Tampa is the host to the first ever International Indian Film Academy Awards held in the United states. The festival is expected to bring over 30,000 visitors to the Sunshine State and have an economic impact of over $11-million. The IIFA is known for it’s famous “green carpet” (not unlike the Oscar’s red carpet) and the event runs today through Saturday. Actor Shahid Kapoor will host the gala that includes a music festival, expo, Tampa Bay Rays outing and awards show.

He then was stowaway on a five hour flight from the California city to Maui International Airport in Hawaii. Worldwide records show that since 1947, 105 known people have pulled off this same stupid stunt and only 25 have survived. The teen passed out during the flight and almost froze to death but is alive.

Last but not least …. Queen Elizabeth II of Britain celebrated her 88th birthday  …. yesterday ….
