The 118th Boston Marathon was run this morning and thankfully, there were no bombs and no threats! One year ago, the Boston marathon disaster occurred and the phrase “Boston Strong” was heard across the country. This is a great event that has a rich history and I’m glad that nothing stopped it from being run again this year. Congratulations go out to 38-year old  Meb Keflezighi who became the first American man since 1983 to win the 26.2-mile race.

The weekend movie numbers are in and Captain America: The Winter Soldier finished on top with $26.6-million in ticket sales. Rio 2 was second with $22.5, Heaven Is For Real was third with $21.5, Transcendence was fourth with $11.2 and A Haunted House finished in 5th place with $9.1-million in sales.

Ford Motor Company says it will sell high-end Lincoln cars in China for the first time later this year. The company is looking to open eight Ford dealerships in seven Chinese cities. Ford thinks China is a huge market and have plans to open 60 dealerships in 50 Chinese cities by 2016.

David Anderson is one lucky son-of-a-bitch! He was searching for diamonds in the Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas when he stumbled upon a monster 6.19-carat diamond. You know it’s big because he already named it ”The Limitless Diamond”. Anderson moved to Murfreesboro, AR just so he could continually search for stones. The park says it is the 15th largest diamond found in the facility. When are we taking a trip to Arkansas?

Last but not least …. CBS has a new series premiering tonight called “Bad Teacher”. The sitcom stars Ari Graynor and is based on Cameron Diaz’s 2011 film of the same name …. A gun thought to have been carried by legendary lawman Wyatt Earp during the famous OK Corral shootout sold at auction for $225,000. The colt .45 was bought by a man in New Mexico … Birthday wishes go out to singer Iggy Pop (67) and actor Tony Danza (63) …. Have a great Monday!
