The month of March is more than green leprechauns, college basketball and springtime weather … March is National Peanut Month! Roasted in the shell, tossed in a salad or spread on bread, peanuts are found in every meal from breakfast to dessert! National Peanut Week was started in 1941 and expanded into National Peanut Month in 1974. Peanuts are naturally cholesterol free, low in saturated fat and high in fiber content. many people are allergic to peanuts and they have to be careful what they eat. According to The National Peanut Board, Americans consume more than 1.5-million pounds of peanut products every year! So remember that March is National Peanut Month … spread the word!

NASA is planning a robotic mission to Jupiter’s watery moon Europa. For years there has been speculation of some form of life on the moon. The space agency has set aside $15-million in its 2015 budget to start planning the mission. The mission wouldn’t launch until the mid 2020′s and will cost billions of dollars by the time it blasts off!

Here’s a shocking statistic … The City of Tampa was ranked as the third best city in America to find a job in 2014! According to an analysis by Wallet Hub, Tampa ranked third out of the top 60 major cities in the USA. The survey looked at unemployment rates, cost of living, employer health benefits and number of potential job openings. When everything was calculated, Tampa trailed only Fort Worth, TX and Washington DC! The next highest ranked Florida city was Miami at number 30. The cities of St.Petersburg and Clearwater were NOT included in the survey.

Last but not least … Inn a study done by the NPD Group, American’s rated their favorite types of cheese. Cheddar came out on top followed by American, Parmesan, Mozzarella and Swiss … In the NHL, Marty St.Louis was traded from the Tampa Bay Lightning to the New York Rangers yesterday. He was the team captain and will be missed by all Bolt fans … Florida Governor Rick Scott announced that the state will invest $194-million into a Tampa International Airport expansion that will be completed in 2017 … Have a great Thursday everybody!
