The 2014 Major League Baseball season starts in full today with games being played across the country. Here are my humble predictions for the 2014 season … AL EAST winners = Tampa Bay Rays, AL CENTRAL winners = Detroit Tigers, AL WEST winners = Texas Rangers, AL WILD CARDS = Los Angeles Angels & Boston Red Sox … NL EAST winners = Atlanta Braves, NL CENTRAL winners = St.Louis Cardinals, NL WEST winners = Los Angeles Dodgers, NL WILD CARDS = Pittsburgh Pirates & Washington Nationals. World Series Tampa Bay -v- Washington with the Rays winning their first ever World Championship! Yes, I’m pulling for my home team! GO RAYS !!

McDonald’s is offering free coffee during breakfast hours today through April 13. The announcement comes as Taco Bell rolls out numerous ads promoting their new breakfast menu. The Taco Bell ads show people named “Ronald McDonald” who eat a Taco Bell breakfast and say how much they like it. Let the breakfast wars begin!

Tonight is the final episode of the long running television series “How I Met Your Mother”. The show started in the fall of 2005 and has received good ratings the entire time. The show starring Neil Patrick Harris, Jason Segal, Alyson Hannigan, Josh Radnor and Cobie Smulders blended together as well as any cast since “Friends”. The program …. “wait for it” …. will be remembered for it’s “legendary” characters and funny sayings (that sentence is much funnier if you watch the show)!

Last but not least … the NCAA Final Four was decided last weekend with Florida playing Connecticut and Wisconsin playing Kentucky this Saturday. The two winners will meet Monday April 7 for the championship …. Kurt Busch won the STP 500 NASCAR Race at Martinsville beating Jimmie Johnson who finished second …. the PGA Tournament was won by Steven Bowditch won won for the first time on the tour …. A 4.8 magnitude earthquake shook Yellowstone National Park yesterday. The quake was the strongest since 1980 and has scientists concerned …. Birthday wishes go out to Shirley Jones (80), Christopher Walken (71) and Ewan McGregor (43) …. have a great week everybody!
