The NCAA Basketball Tournament is bouncing right along! Last night The Florida Gators, Dayton Flyers, Arizona Wildcats and Wisconsin Badgers made it to the “Elite Eight”. Tonight four more teams will join them. After this weekend’s games, the Final Four will be determined. I’m still staying with my original pick of Florida playing Louisville in the final …. even though the Cardinals have a very difficult matchup tonight against their in-state, hated foe Kentucky!
They are still searching for Malaysian Flight #370 in the Pacific Ocean. The search area has been shifted numerous times and now they are looking closer to Australia. The aircraft with 239 people onboard has been lost for a week and numerous countries are involved in the search mission.
The State of Texas has adopted a tough abortion law that has forced the closing of nearly 20 clinics throughout the state. A federal appeals court upheld the restrictions and overturned a lower court’s decision. The new law requires abortion doctors to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital and puts limits on abortion-inducing drugs. The restrictions are among the toughest in the country.
