Here in Tampa Bay today is an important day. Major League Baseball’s Spring Training starts today and multiple games will be played the next 40+ days throughout central Florida. Spring Training is a huge boost for the economy as people come to sunny Florida to watch their team. The New York Yankees train in Tampa, The Philadelphia Phillies call Clearwater their home and the Toronto Blue Jays train in Dunedin. Within a 30 minute drive The Detroit Tigers can be found in Lakeland and the Pittsburgh Pirates in Bradenton.

A Northern California couple was walking their dog on their property and stumbled upon a box buried under an old tree. Inside they found 1,427 coins dating from 1847 to 1894. Most of the coins are in uncirculated, mint condition and are worth …. are you ready for this …. over $10-million! The professional Coin Grading Service od Santa Ana said a few of the coins are so rare they could fetch $1-million each.

You don’t want to be gay in Uganda! A newspaper called “Red Pepper” printed a list of the country’s 200 top gay people … some with photographs. The US Department of Transportation penalized Asiana Airlines $500,000 for failing to promptly contact passengers’ families after a deadly crash at San Francisco International Airport last year. They said it took the South Korean airline five days to contact the families of all 291 passengers. Many of the families live in South Korea or China. It was the first time this type of penalty has been issued.

Last but not least … Disney is launching digital movies app called Disney Movies Anywhere that follows fans to store movie purchases online and play them back on Apple devices and computers … Poor Home Depot, their fourth-quarter net income dropped 1 percent.
