And then there were four! The NFL is down to their final four teams and this weekend will decide what two will face off in New York on February 2 for Super Bowl XLVIII. In the AFC Conference, the New England Patriots will travel to Denver to face the Broncos and in the NFC Conference, the Seattle Seahawks will host the San Francisco 49ers. Winners will advance to the Big Game! Over the weekend the Pats beat Indianapolis and Denver defeated the San Diego Chargers in the AFC. In the NFC the 49ers beat the Carolina Panthers and Seattle defeated the New Orleans Saints.

Speaking of the Super Bowl … The Red Hot Chili Peppers will join Bruno Mars for the halftime show. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame RHCP’s will join Mars who was named Billboard’s 2013 Artist of the Year. These two should create quite an exciting mix of music and (as usual) the halftime will be fantastic!

In states that have made marijuana legal, sellers are having a hard time getting banks to take their money! SAY WHAT ??? Since the drug remains illegal under federal law, many banks, including state-chartered ones, are reluctant to provide traditional services to marijuana businesses. They fear that federal regulators and law enforcement authorities might punish them with fines for violating prohibitions and money-laundering or obtaining funds by illegal means. That is a problem as marijuana sales in the USA will top $3-billuion this year. The National Cannabis Industry is trying to get laws passed that ensure banks legality.

If you are out of light bulbs you’re going to be in for a big shock! As of January 1, new government lighting standards were put into effect. That means the old style, general-service, incandescent bulbs have been phased out. No more 40-watt or 60-watt bulbs as they have been replaced with energy-efficient fluorescent, LED or halogen bulbs. Yes, they will cost more but burn less electricity and last longer.

Last but not least … The AEE Show takes place this week in Las Vegas, January 15-18. The week includes The ANE (Adult Novelty Expo), Fan Fest and the AVN Awards Show. The show will be hosted by adult stars Skin Diamond, Lexi Belle and Asa Akira. NightMoves will be represented by Andrew Rock and Lenny Mumbles … The big winners at the Golden Globes last night were the movies ”American Hustle” and “12 Years a Slave”. Best TV Comedy was ”Brooklyn Nine-Nine”, Best TV Drama was “Breaking Bad” and Best TV Mini-Series was “Behind the Candelabra”… have a great Monday everybody !!!
